Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking for more information about DNZoom, you’ve come to the right place. We have consolidated a list of common questions from DNZoom users below for your convenience.

Q. Who needs DNZoom?

A. Anyone who owns a domain name. Those who have domains registered with several different registrars know it can be a hassle to keep up with all your domains. DNZoom makes it easy to stay on top of renewals, keep contact information up to date, and make it quick and easy to register your next domain. Not to mention, our software is an excellent tool for managing your parking accounts. You now have the ability to select keywords, instantly move a domain from one parking service to another, and view parking stats and parking history to accurately determine which parking service is most profitable for each of your domains.

Q. What does it do?

A. DNZoom’s feature set is constantly expanding. Right now we offer:

  • Account management - add and manage all of your registrar and parking accounts, making it easy to perform changes to any domain in your portfolio, buy domains, and get the most performance out of your parked domains.
  • Mass domain import - whether you have been tracking your domains with an Excel spreadsheet or just have them registered and/or parked, it is quick and easy to import your domains into the DNZoom interface. Your domains will also continue to be accessible from your registrar’s site - no transfers required.
  • Research tools - search dropped names and upcoming drops, “spin” keywords using our domain suggestion tool, find available domains based on keywords and TLDs, and easily look up Alexa stats and Whois records.
  • Aftermarket domains - view recently sold domains, find premium domain names at auction, and make offers on “must have” domains. Coming soon: quickly post your domains for sale at all of the major domain aftermarkets, keep track of offers you’ve received, and update your reserve and “buy now” price from a central interface.

Q. How does it work?

A. DNZoom works by connecting directly to each of your registrar and parking accounts, enabling you to change contact information, manage DNS on the fly, park your domains at any of your favorite parking services, change keywords, and more. Want to register a new domain at your discounted reseller rate? You can do it with DNZoom. Best of all, you can access your portfolio from any computer with a web connection — no downloads required! dnZoom is also mobile aware, meaning you can keep tabs on your domains wherever you go.

Many users are cautious about entering their account login information into an application they are using for the first time. With this in mind, DNZoom offers several levels of account security, giving you the option to have daily account synchronization and full automation by securely encrypting your registrar and parking-account usernames and passwords (once entered, your usernames and passwords are never visible by a human user, including DNZoom staff!).

For those who aren’t interested in having their credentials encrypted and stored in the system, no problem. You can simply enter your login information whenever a change is made to a domain. It’s about time that domain owners had a secure and convenient choice to manage and monetize their portfolios.

Q. How secure is it?

A. One of the top concerns we have heard from domain name owners is, “How will dnZoom protect the security of my domains?”

We have been extremely security conscious in building DNZoom and we believe it is of utmost importance that your domains are always protected from theft and unauthorized changes. Besides offering familiar features such as registrar transfer locking from inside DNZoom, we have taken a number of steps to lock down the application and offer a level of security that rivals any other major provider in the domain industry. DNZoom’s security features include:

  • SSL authentication - all account functions take place behind a secure connection.
  • User-selected private picture - helps you identify that you are logging into the real DNZoom web site.
  • Secret questions - helps verify your identity, should you need to recover your password or access your account from an unknown IP address.
  • IP restriction - IP logging and restricted access to “blessed” IPs.
  • Secure account encryption - both the username and password to your registrar and parking accounts can be securely encrypted to enable full automation and daily synchronization.
  • - OR -

  • Manual account control - as an added layer of security, you can choose not to store your account usernames and passwords and enter your credentials only when performing an action that requires you to be logged in to your vendor account.
