The DNZoom/Bido team is back from T.R.A.F.F.I.C. and ready for a new week! We had a great time in Orlando meeting with our friends and colleagues and also spreading the news about the upcoming Bido.com launch.
A really exciting part of the conference was getting to meet Juan Macias, the winner of the free T.R.A.F.F.I.C. ticket from DNZoom.com/Bido.com. This was Juan’s first time attending a T.R.A.F.F.I.C. show, so we were happy to be a part of his participation. Juan - thanks for being a DNZoom/Bido client!
As always, Rick and Howard were really hospitable and interactive with their attendees. One of the things that I always like to take part in is the “speed-networking” event. At this conference there were two such events, one of which I was able to attend.
Although the attendance at this T.R.A.F.F.I.C. was a bit smaller than the last, I was still able to meet a bunch of people that I have never talked with before. Keep in mind that attendance is not everything, quality is! After meeting with a number of quality domainers we knew the trip was well worth the journey.
As expected, there were some really great meet & greets after each dinner. One of which was a pool party. It ended up raining that evening so most everyone stayed inside during the dinner. After the party ended a number of us went out swimming in the rain. We had some unexpected guests that joined us. “Fabulous” Mike Robertson tried to pet these guys, but they didn’t seem interested.

Dan and I stayed for the auction and sat in on most of it. Moniker did a great job with the organization and also keeping the attendees on their toes and excited. The final accumulated total of the auction was a bit over $2 Million USD. This number is somewhat smaller than past auctions, but with the state of the stifled economy it was not at all unexpected. I’m sure by the time T.R.A.F.F.I.C. New York hits we will be seeing some pickup in the domain industry and we also look forward to another exciting show!
A very big THANKS goes out to all of our old friends we saw at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. and also to all of the new friends that we made during this trip.
See you in Paris!!!
