DNZoom was in good company this week at the annual HostingCon conference in Chicago, IL, which featured an unusually large number of domain companies at an event that is traditionally hosting-centric. The industry was well represented by leaders such as Tucows, eNom, Sedo, Oversee.net, Dotster, DomainsBot, and several others. Sean Stafford, Director of Product Development at DNZoom, was a panelist on a mini workshop on Monday along with Jothan Frakes of DomainSponsor, Tim Schumacher, CEO of Sedo, and Frank Michlick of Domain Name News, and spoke on the topic of turning domains and customer abandonment into new revenue sources.
Other notable sessions held by domain company insiders included “Rethinking Domain Name Search” by Adam Eisner of Tucows, and the well attended keynote address by Richard Rosenblatt, CEO of Demand Media. Our good friend Isabel Wang also put on some good sessions (head on over to her blog for her take on monetization and how it overlaps with the hosting industry).
If you’re one of the many people who have signed up for the DNZoom beta, you’re probably eagerly awaiting your chance to get your hands on the application and dig in for yourself. Well, the wait is almost over. Invites to the beta preview were sent to another 30 people this week and we are excited to announce that early access beta keys will be sent out to our full pool of beta testers on Monday, July 30.
Your feedback will be enormously important as we continue to build out registrar and parking modules and fine tune the interface and feature set. Check out this candid review by beta tester Michele Neylon who explains some of the ins and outs of the DNZoom Beta.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
